Considering an EV? Consider the 2021 Nissan LEAF

2021 Nissan Leaf

Not too long ago, a documentary asked “Who Killed the Electric Car?” These days, EVs are big business, and the 2021 Nissan LEAF is helping to set the pace. Besides its efficiency, it gives you the same reliability, safety, and great technology as any other new Nissan models, and all for a wallet-friendly starting MSRP of $31,670.

2021 Nissan LEAF Performance

Both the 2021 Nissan LEAF and 2021 Nissan LEAF Plus have a 110-kilowatt electric motor driving the front wheels. However, the Nissan LEAF has a smaller battery pack that delivers 147 horsepower and 149 miles on a full charge, while the Nissan LEAF Plus has a higher-wattage battery pack that serves up 214 horsepower while boosting range to 226 miles from a full charge.

Getting to that full charge is easy with the built-in fast charger (standard except for the S trim, where it’s optional). With it, the Nissan LEAF reaches an 80 percent charge in about 26 minutes.

You can improve your efficiency even further with regenerative braking, or you can forego braking altogether in e-pedal mode; the ability to accelerate and brake by either depressing or letting up on the pedal also helps to decrease driver fatigue.

2021 Nissan LEAF Technology and Comfort Features

When you visit our Nissan dealership in Nebraska for a test drive, you’ll find features in the new Nissan LEAF that stand out from our other vehicles. The digital instrument cluster, for instance, displays range, your remaining charge, and energy consumption in addition to other performance data.

From the eight-inch infotainment display that supports Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®, the Bluetooth™ and USB capabilities, and the ability to add amenities like leather upholstery, the 2021 Nissan LEAF delivers. And did we mention that it fits up to 30 cubic feet of cargo? You won’t miss your gas-guzzling SUV, we promise.

2021 Nissan LEAF Safety Features

Automatic high beams, rear automatic braking, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and other features are part of the Nissan Safety Shield 360™ suite of active safety features. And they come standard!
