2019 Nissan Maxima Tops APEAL Study
Every year, research company J.D. Power does a number of consumer studies on vehicles. These range from assessing initial quality to reliability. Most recently, they completed their Automotive Performance, Execution, and Layout (APEAL) Study. One of their broadest studies when it comes to customer satisfaction, the APEAL study asks new car, truck, and SUV owners to evaluate their vehicles based on 77 attributes, then combine the results to create an APEAL score. And for the second year in a row, the Large Car category was won by the Nissan Maxima.
This marks the second J.D. Power award this year for the 2019 Nissan Maxima, which also topped its segment in the Initial Quality Study, joining a very select group of vehicles who won their categories in both studies. But other 2019 Nissan cars also made a strong showing in this year’s APEAL study. The 2019 Nissan Altima, another beloved model from the brand, tied for a win in its Midsize Car segment. And when it comes to SUVs, you can still find great APEAL from Nissan models – the 2019 Nissan Armada and 2019 Nissan Murano both ranked above average in their categories. And for pickup lovers, the 2019 Nissan TITAN also ranked about its segment average.
Only you can say what appeals to you in a vehicle, but J.D. Power has a lot to say about APEAL, and Nissan models are some of the best. See what some of the highest-scoring models in this year’s APEAL study feel like on the road when you come in for a test drive of a 2019 Nissan Maxima or 2019 Nissan Altima.
